Privacy

This site collects very little. It sets no cookies and uses no analytics, advertising, or tracking tools. The only personal information I receive is what people choose to send through the contact form or by email.

Who is responsible

Minara, a training practice based in the United Arab Emirates and led by Tommi Raitio, is responsible for the personal information described here. For any privacy question or request, email Info@minaralearn.com.

What I collect

• Through the contact form: name, email address, organization (optional), and the message.
• By email: whatever a sender chooses to include.
• When a page loads: like every website, the hosting provider receives the visitor's IP address, browser type, and the page requested. I do not use this to identify anyone.

Why I use it

To reply to messages and, when an organization decides to work with Minara, to prepare and deliver that work. Nobody is added to a mailing list through the contact form, and I do not sell or share personal information for marketing.

For people in Europe, the legal basis is taking steps at the sender's request before a contract, and Minara's legitimate interest in answering business inquiries.

Who else handles it

A few service providers handle data on Minara's behalf:

• Web3Forms receives contact form messages and forwards them to my email. It screens messages for spam with CleanTalk and Akismet, which may receive the sender's IP and email address. Web3Forms keeps submissions for up to three years and runs on Amazon Web Services, Cloudflare, and Hetzner. After a message is sent, the browser shows a Web3Forms confirmation page, which may set its own essential security cookies.
• Vercel hosts this site and processes IP addresses and request logs to deliver pages.
• Google Workspace hosts email for minaralearn.com, where messages are kept.
• Google Fonts serves the site's typefaces, so a browser sends its IP address to Google when a page opens.

Where the data goes

These providers operate in several countries, so personal information may be processed outside the UAE or outside the sender's own country, including in the United States, India, and the European Union. The providers state that they protect these transfers with contractual safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long I keep it

I keep messages and contact details for as long as needed to reply and, when we work together, for the length of the engagement and any period the law requires. Inquiries that do not lead to work are deleted within two years.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, including under the UAE Personal Data Protection Law and the EU General Data Protection Regulation, you can ask to see the personal information I hold about you, correct it, delete it, or object to how it is used. Email Info@minaralearn.com and I will reply within 30 days. People in the EU can also complain to their local data protection authority.

If anything here changes, I will update this page and the date at the top.
